Born in Lynchburg, July 22, 1946, he was the son of the late Thomas Edward LeGrand and Eileen Shipley LeGrand. He proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps. He was a professional welder throughout his career and worked for Simplimatic for a number of years before they closed. He was an avid Colts and NASCAR fan and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Appomattox.
He is survived by his wife, Irene LeGrand; two daughters, Robin Wooten and her husband Greg and Angie Tyree and her husband Randy; three step-children, Danny Ray Carroll, Dean Monroe Carroll and his wife Belinda, and Teresa Lynn Carroll; five grandchildren, Erika Parsons (Wesley), Adam Wooten, Brooklyn Tyree, William Tyree and Raegan Tyree; three step-grandchildren, Ricky Stanley, Krystal Carroll and Dylan Carroll and his best friend, Allen “Duck” Harris.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Victory Baptist Church, 4339 Salem Road, Spout Spring, VA, with the Rev. Jeff Worley officiating.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Lynchburg Humane Society.
