Justine "Kay" Kassner Stadtherr

Born March 23, 1937, in Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Mary Catherine Knowles Kassner.

She retired as an administrator from 7 Hills Health Care Center, formerly Liberty House, after 25 years of service.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Kymberly A. Stadtherr and Ryland, of Amherst, Stephen P. Stadtherr and wife Annette, of Rustburg, Richard T. Stadtherr, of Amherst, and Theresa M. Pickeral and husband David, of TX; two brothers, Mike Kassner and wife Rosemary, of NC, and Kevin Kassner and wife, Pauline of CO; nine grandchildren, Patrick Wright, Brittany McCraw and husband Matt, Michael Stadtherr, Joshua Pickeral, Jarett Ayers, Tyler Stadtherr, Kaitlyn Pickeral, Torin Ayers, and Catherine Stadtherr; one great-grandson, Caden McCraw, other relatives and many friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 23, 2012 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.

A funeral service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. following the visitation at the funeral home, by the Rev. Msgr. J. Kenneth Rush, and the Rev. Charles Haley Jr.
