Katherine Brewington Taylor

Born in Robeson, North Carolina, on March 21, 1931, Katherine lived a life true to herself. She loved to bake, and was known for her delicious fruit cakes. Katherine was an independent woman with a zest for life. Commonly known as a determined woman, Katherine made sure you knew what she wanted. She was retired from Burlington Coat Factory after 20 years of service. She loved her garden and tending to her flowers. She took delight in watching the birds outside her window. Her grandchildren were her whole world and she loved them dearly.

In addition to her parents Katherine was preceded in death by her siblings Reather Mae Bullard, Talmadge "Buddy" Brewington, Beulah Mae Tanner, John Brewington, Tessie Bullard, Matthew Brewington, Betty Lindsey, and David Brewington.

Left to cherish Katherine’s memory is her daughter Veronica Bratton and her husband Tim; her brother Martin Brewington; her sisters Lucille Riley and Gloria Canady; and her grandchildren Chance Landrum, Jacob Landrum and Shepard Landrum.

A memorial service for Katherine will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Monument Heights Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Sean McGuire with a visitation following the service.

The family asks that any memorial contributions be made to Monument Heights Baptist Church.
