Kendra Kay Soucie 49, went home to be with the Lord on August 14, 2020 after a two-year battle with breast cancer. She is survived by her faithful husband Brad Soucie of 29 years, and her three adoring children, Mikayla (21), Levi (20), and Mariah Soucie (17). She is also survived by her parents, Ken and Marlene, and siblings, Mark (Kristy), and Kara Nichols.
Kendra was a bright light to all who came into contact with her. She was constantly encouraging others and sharing the love of Jesus to those around her. She loved spending time with her family and friends, laughing, singing, attending countless basketball games that her husband coached, and sharing her love for God’s Word. God has used and guided her through her journey to inspire thousands. She praised His name until she took her last breath. If Kendra would want people to know anything, it’s that JESUS STILL HEALS TODAY. He can heal and restore the most broken of things and somehow make them beautiful. We are devastated that she is no longer in our arms, but it is a victory, as we know she’s home with Her Father where no disease can touch her.
Kendra has always been passionate to support those in ministry, as well as those walking through similar cancer journeys. She deeply appreciated the many supporters of her journey and wanted to give back. Contributions can be made in her honor to “Kendra’s Sunshine Foundation LLC”, 103 Mullbury Place, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
Please join us in a celebration of her life at Hope Co. Church (742 Leesville Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24502) Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at 2pm.
