Kenneth Wayne McGuire Sr.

Kenneth Wayne "Loss Coz" McGuire, Sr., 55, of Evington passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Linda H. McGuire.
Born in Richmond, January 24, 1958, he was a son of the late Harry Nathaniel McGuire, Jr. and Carolyn Ball McGuire. He was retired from Boyle Transportation and proudly served his country in the US Navy as a submariner on the USS Lapon – SSN661. He was also a member of the Southern Cruisers of the Hill City and a charter member of Rolling Thunder.
One sister, Deborah Sue McGuire preceded him in death.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Kenneth W. McGuire, Jr. and his wife Michelle of Evington; one daughter, Angela N. McGuire of Forest; three brothers, Eugene F. McGuire, Steven D. McGuire and Timothy S. McGuire all of Lynchburg; one sister, Catherine M. Schmitt and her husband Michael of Rustburg; four step-brothers, Ricky Creasy and his wife Rebecca, Richard Creasy, Pete Creasy and Lewis Creasy; one step-sister, Cathy Creasy and three grandchildren, Chelsea, Makenzie and Chloe. He is also survived by a lifelong dear friend, Dennis Poore and a number of nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Mike Bowers officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park with military honors by the American Legion Post 16.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2013 at the funeral home.
