

Leonard was born in Amherst County on July 26,1931and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was the son of the late Everette Anthony Davis and Clementine Figgers Davis and was also preceded in death by his son, Keith Edward Davis; two sisters, Ruth Davis Wright and Mary Davis Burks and two brothers, Norman W. Davis and Weldon M. Davis. He was a longtime member of Timberlake Baptist Church and was retired from General Electric and Harris Teeter. Leonard always had a smile for everyone and he loved being with his family.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Davis is survived by his daughter, Sherri D. Anderson of Lynchburg; two brothers, Anthony Everette Davis of Elon and Robert D. Davis of Lynchburg; four sisters, Mildred D. Massie of Lynchburg, Bess D. Martin of and Effie D. Farmer, both of Richmond and Ethel D. Andrews of Colonial Heights.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 13, 2015 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor James H. Alley officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
