

Linda has a strong faith in God, loved children, and enjoyed caring for her husband and family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, H. Roger Campbell and James E. Campbell.
Linda is survived by her husband of 20 years, Calvin Wayne Davis; two sons, Daniel F. Davis and wife Kimberly of Waynesboro and Joseph W. Davis and wife Kristie of Amherst; grandsons, Daniel W. and Micah P. Davis of Waynesboro, Landen P. Davis of Amherst, Casey S. Johnson of Stuarts Draft, and Ian T. Johnson of Waynesboro; granddaughters, Hannah G. and Emerson B. Davis of Amherst, Jennifer L. and Shonna R. Johnson of Waynesboro; two great grandsons, Donavin S. and Rileigh A. Johnson of Waynesboro; brothers and sisters, T.W. (Billy) Campbell of Lynchburg, Marie C. Wooldridge and husband David of Monroe, Donna C. Newcomb and husband Howard of Monroe, Sondra C. Ogden and husband Ralph of Concord, Susan A. Campbell of Monroe, Danny R. Campbell and wife Lisa of Lynchburg, Sharon C. Roberson and husband Lynn of Madison Heights, and Clint J. Campbell and wife Cathy of Rustburg; a Special cousin, Judy Newton and husband Tom of Rustburg; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her caregivers, Linda Fitzgerald, Elizabeth Coleman, Bethany Worley, Jennifer Scott, and Teresa Carol and to the staff of Centra Hospice for their great care they provided to Linda and the family.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and at other times at the residence.
A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Rev. Susan A. Campbell and Pastor Steve Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
