LaVerne graduated from E.C. LaVerne inherited her talent for good cooking from her mother and was especially known for her delicious sugar cookies, a family favorite. She and Phillip cherished their time together at Myrtle Beach, their favorite travel destination, and shared a love for thrift shopping. In her younger years, LaVerne was also an avid bowler, enjoying both the sport and the friendships it brought.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Phillip R. Roach, Sr.; her children, Randy Roach (Cindee), Kimberly R. Doyle (Jerry), Cynthia R. Ford (Bill); and a grandson, Andrew Doyle (Kelsey).
