Margaret’s passing will be a great loss to many family members and friends. Her enthusiasm and spirit infused all of us. I will think of her often, especially when the Redskins take the field. “Hail To The Redskins” and “Hail To You, Margaret!”

For many years I had the pleasure of eating lunch with Margaret at Central Fidelity Bank.  A stressful morning would turn bright after an hour with the One O’clock Lunch Bunch.  After our years there we continued to enjoy get togethers at Charley’s. We could talk for hours about our memories at “the bank”.
I shall always remember Margaret’s smile, her grace and poise and joy of life. She was such a lovely lady and so talented. I loved to hear her stories of singing as a little girl and then later in years I had the opportunity to see her perform in concerts. 
May your precious memories always bring comfort and a smile to your heart.

Margaret sang in a Sweet Adeline quartet called The Caprichords for over 50 years! She sang tenor (the high part).  Margaret is on the right in this photo.

This photo is a family favorite. It shows Margaret with her mother Lillian (Lily) Ruth St. John Dameron and her daughter Denise Tucker. A neighbor took this picture of us.

Margaret married Robert Milton Tucker on June 4, 1955. She was a beautiful bride.

Margaret was a cheerleader at EC Glass high school. In this picture, she is second from the left.

This was a favorite memory back in 2008.  Our grandchildren too loved Margaret and always looked forward to our Christmas get-togethers halfway between Lynchburg and NoVa, often involving the great food and atmosphere at Michie Tavern in Charlottesville.

We were so delighted when Margaret and Bobby celebrated their 50th anniversary with us at the beach.  Every year after Bobby's passing, she continued to come to our beach house with the family, making more memories there - esp. those involving ice cream at sunset on the Duck, NC boardwalk. (this  photo dated 2015)

I married into the Tucker family when I tied the knot with Margaret's nephew, Richard, back in 1973.  I met Margaret and her devoted family -  husband Bob, children Denise and Mark - a couple years prior to our marriage when they often entertained and fed Richard and me in their home while we were attending Lynchburg College.  Margaret was a great cook, and a gracious hostess and always made me feel part of their immediate family.   Her hugh smile was infectious, her singing voice angelic, and her very presence simply radiant.  She was casual yet classy in her appearance and carried a glow about her that exuded cheer.  If you were fortunate to know and be around Margaret, you couldn't help but feel happy and laugh out loud!  For Margaret, her life was full of faith, family, friends, food, flowers, and fun!  How both Richard and I will miss her and all she did in fulfilling our lives.
 We'll think of her often, but especially during those delightful family holidays and visits to our beach house!  Love you always Margaret!  Faye and Richard
