Margarett Sue Ennis

Margarett Sue Ennis, 73, of Lynchburg, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019. She was the loving wife of the late Lloyd Earl Ennis. Born on May 15, 1946 in Pittsylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Staples Pugh and the late Mary Shelton Pugh. Margarett enjoyed crotcheting, drinking her daily coffee, spending time with her children and grandchildren and her special dog, Brisco. She was a member of Shekinah Glory Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by her second husband, Gerald Wayne Pickeral, Sr.; her son, Lawrence Edgar Ennis; and siblings, Donnie Pugh, Morgan Pugh, Grady Pugh, Mabel Snead, and Bobby George. Margarett is survived by her children, Connie Sue Ennis and boyfriend, Roger Blankenship, Donnie Ray Ennis and wife,Thelma, Gerald Wayne Pickeral, Jr., Linda Marie Lilly, and Elizabeth Ann Carey; 14 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; siblings, Sadie Martin and husband,Wesley, Gladys Pugh, Julia “Judy” Sprouse, Peggy Brown and husband, Peewee, Ruby Grishaw, and Mae Surber; and numerous other family members. Included in those grandchildren is her devoted great grandson Izaya who would always willingly would take care of her whenever needed. She will be sadly missed by all. Her urn will be escorted into the church by her special nephew,Mark Sprouse and Roger Blankenship. It is also requested that everyone please wear blue as it was Margarett's favorite color. A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Shekinah Glory Baptist Church, with Rev. Carlton Dunn officiating. Her son, Donnie Ray Ennis, will also be speaking at her service. There will be a small greeting with the family after the services.
