Mrs. Moore was born February 20, 1938, in Baltimore, MD. She was retired from Clemmons Iron, she was a talented pianist and a dedicated member of Yellow Branch Baptist Church.
Survivors also include two daughters, Loretta LaRue Phelps, of Danville, and Linda Faye Carter, of Raleigh, NC; two sisters, Joan Chaney, of Lynchburg, and Virginia Maher, of Baltimore, MD, 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday, September 2, 2010, at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 3, 2010, at Fort Hill Memorial Park, by the Rev, Tim Wilde.
