Myrtice Shepherd Wilson Jennings

Myrtice Wilson Shepherd Jennings, 71, of Goode passed away Friday, December 7, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her family. She is now resting peacefully in the arms of her Savior and has now heard the words, “Well done my good and faithful servant. Welcome home.” Myrtice was a devoted Christian and a faithful member of Thomas Road Baptist Church.

Born September 5, 1941 in Campbell County she was a daughter of the late Lester Edward and Dovie Craft Wilson.

She was the wife of Addison Morgan Jennings for 35 years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Louis E. Shepherd, Jr. and wife, Phyllis, Ronald L. Shepherd, Donna Sue S. Brooks and husband, Michael, Randolph M. Jennings and wife, Amy, Sharon J. Gunter and husband, Carlton, Janet J. Maxwell and husband, Ron; brother, Larenzo Wilson, Luther Wilson, Roy Wilson; sisters, Mazie W. Cumbee, Eleanor W. Sheriff; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Myrtice is also preceded in death by her first husband, Louis Edward Shepherd; two grandchildren Randolph Jennings, Jr. and Kristopher Shepherd, brother, Edward O. Wilson and sister, Lavorn W. Danos.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in Whitten Timberlake Chapel by the Rev. Johnny Roberts and the Rev. Carlton R. Gunter. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Monday, December 10, 2012 at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
