Born January 8, 1939 Nancy worked as a teacher for the Lynchburg Public School system for 25 years. A member of Peakland United Methodist Church Nancy loved her Lord and Savior. Nancy was an individual who exuded warmth and kindness, and her identity as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and godmother was an integral part of her being. She had a deep love for the beach, and held a special place in her heart for children. Nancy’s greatest joy was in observing the growth and development of her own children, as well as those she taught, and she poured her energy and self into nurturing and supporting them as they navigated life’s challenges. With a gentle and caring spirit, Nancy embodied the essence of motherhood, and her love for her family was truly boundless.
In addition to her parents Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Wright.
Left to cherish Nancy’s memory is her loving husband of 62 years Winston W. Clark Jr.; her sons Whit Clark III and his wife Wendy of Gladys Virginia, Jim Clark and his wife Michelle of Jacksonville Florida; her grandchildren Jimmy Clark and his wife Kaleigh, Matthew Clark, Andrew Clark, Holly Lyons and her husband Ron, Kara Pecoraro and her husband Alex; and her god-daughters Greylyn Koestner and Bobbi Anna LaRouche.
