Nettie Tyree Tyree Davis

Born January 12, 1921 in Nelson County, she was the daughter of the late William F. and Olivia T. Tyree and was also preceded in death by three children; five brothers and five sisters. She was retired from the Central Virginia Training Center and was of Methodist faith.

Mrs. Davis is survived by two sons, Henry Leroy Poe of Lynchburg and Junior Edward Robert Poe and wife Betsy of Salem; a daughter, Betty I. Gonzales and husband Roland of Arlington, TX; two sisters, Mary Pleasants and Ethel Wooldridge, both of Madison Heights; two brothers, Jesse James Tyree and husband Barbara and William Fitz Tyree, Jr. and wife Barbara, both of Nelson County; nineteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 19, 2015 at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel with the Rev. Edgar Moser officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m., Sunday, October 18, 2015 at the funeral home.
