Norma Jean Mason, 80, of Lynchburg, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on December 20, 1942 in Virginia, daughter of the late Harvey and Katherine Thompson.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Sherman E. Mason.

Norma was a member of Jordan Baptist Church. She loved her family and was a great cook and seamstress.

Left to cherish her memory are her four children; a brother; a sister; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren; one great grandchild as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Ms. Ann Gilley for her care and compassion and for going above and beyond in taking care of Bigmama.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Presbyterian Cemetery with Pastor Melvin Campbell and Pastor Carlton Dunn, Jr. officiating.
