Patrick Hood McCarron, 71, of Lynchburg, passed away, Monday, August 18, 2014, at his residence. He was the husband of Elizabeth Saunders McCarron. Born September 26, 1942, in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Owen Patrick McCarron and the late Mildred Hendricks McCarron.
Patrick was a retired purchasing agent for Alliance Industrial Corporation and a member of Fairview Christian Church.
In addition to his wife, Patrick is survived by his children, Christopher Scott McCarron and his wife Carolyn of Evington, Jennifer McCarron Toler and her husband Chris of Lynchburg and Michael Patrick McCarron and his wife Ivy of Forest; six grandchildren, Andrew McCarron, Cathleen McCarron, Ethan McCarron, Harrison Toler, Maia Toler and Sadie McCarron; his special neighbors and friends whom the family would like to express a special thank you for their loving support; and his special dogs and cats.
A funeral service will be conducted, 12:00 p.m., Thursday, August 21, 2014, at Fairview Christian Church with the Rev. Curtis Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends, 1 ½ hours prior to the service, from 10:30-12 p.m., Thursday, August 21, 2014, at Fairview Christian Church and at other times at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tuesday Night Community Dinner at Fairview Christian Church or Centra Hospice.
The family would also like to express a special thank you to the Centra Hospice RN’s and CNA’s, especially Jodi, for their care and support.
