Robert Dale Ferguson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Dale Ferguson, LCDR retired, on morning of September 5, 2021. He was 84 years of age. He was born on December 3, 1936, in Ft. Scott, Kansas, son of the late August Ferguson and the late Else M. Ferguson. Robert married his wife, Jaqueline L. Ferguson, on May 26, 1958. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a hardworking man, driven by the desire to provide for his family. He proudly served in the US Navy for 20 years and was a veteran of war. He is survived by his loving wife Jaqueline, two sons Kevin and Kendall, 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Chester Ferguson and Arthur Ferguson and a sister, Lucille Sandusky. A celebration of his life will be held at Whitten Funeral Home, 7404 Timberlake Road, Lynchburg, Virginia, 24502, at 1:00 PM on October 23, 2021.
