Sharon Ann Purvis Woods, 65, of Madison Heights, passed away, Thursday, October 3, 2013, at her residence. Born August 8, 1948, in Nelson County, she was the daughter of the late Silas Jack Purvis and the late Sadie Earline Wright Purvis.
Sharon was a former employee for the Central Virginia Training Center.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Juztice LeAnn Martin.
Sharon is survived by her daughters, Lois Harris (Shaun), Shelly Martin (Brian Branner) and Shelia Johnson (Jeffrey); one sister, Mary Maddox (Ronnie); one brother, James Purvis; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
There will be a private family gathering at the residence of Shaun and Lois Harris.
