Born in Lynchburg, December 5, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Luther Everett Lipscomb and Myrtle Hartless Lipscomb. She was a private sitter for a number of years. She was strong in her faith and enjoyed sewing and liked to cook, especially during the holidays. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Hilda Stone and Lyndell Carter and one brother, Luther E. Lipscomb, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Parrish; three grandchildren, Jada Taylor, Jacob Martin and Jared Martin and one sister, Carol Smith.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
