She was born on December 29, 1938 in Troutman, North Carolina, to George and Addie Poarch.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Mack Evans, preceded her in death. Two sisters, Margaret Lail and Jewell Shoaf, also preceded her in death.
Sue was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church. She loved to go shopping and enjoyed her travels, but her grandchildren were the real love of her life.
Survivors include two children, Scott Evans and wife Stephanie and Brittany White and husband Cameron; a sister, Bonnie Beaver; six grandchildren, Cole Evans, Ethan Evans, Mason Evans, Addie Evans, Caroline White and Charlotte White. A special niece, Karen Burns, also survives her.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Spring Hill Cemetery with Pastor Jonathan Falwell officiating.
