

Virginia Glass Fore, 87, of Goode, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was the devoted wife of the late Curtis Fore for forty-five years; a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Born August 6, 1928 in Campbell County, she was a daughter of the late John Davidson and Annie Scott Glass. She was preceded in death by eleven brothers and one sister.
She was a charter member of Thomas Road Baptist Church. She retired from General Electric in 1990, with thirty-five years’ service. She lived the last seven years of her life with her daughter, son-in-law and grand-dogs, Guss and Cooper, in Goode.
She is survived by one son, Jim (Connie) Fore of Powhatan and two daughters, Laura (G.B.) Wooldridge of Lynchburg and Joyce (Glenn) Smoot of Goode. She was blessed with four grandchildren, Bryan (Tatum) Fore, Carrie (Andy) Cohn, Jason (Stormy) Wooldridge and Jamie (Larry) Gagnon, eight great-grandchildren; Parker and Michael Fore, Hannah Luchetti, Griffin and Kara Wooldridge and Tanner Gagnon, Chase Bradley and Katelyn Cohn, and special friends, Milton Coleman, Marshall and Helen Cocke and Lee Berkstresser.
Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Jonathan Falwell at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 23, 2016 at Thomas Road Baptist Church, Pate Chapel. Burial will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the services.
The family wishes to express thanks for Virginia’s devoted caregivers: Shelita Elliott, Allisa Morgan, the Bedford Ride Volunteer drivers Siegfried Schaffer and Frank Oliff and for the excellent medical care provided by Dr. Laura Robert, Dr. Ron Morford, Allison Helgeson, FNP-C, LGH Pulmonary Unit and Centra Hospice.
