Our condolences to you on the passing of your father. The memories of your family and ours getting together in Woodbridge when ever the men were on "the ice". We were shocked at the loss of your mother. She was such a fun person. Now your dad the calming element in your family. He will certainly be missed. 
Mary, you seemed to be such a help and comfort to Walt, even though we never met. Our condolences to you also. Our thoughts and prays are with all of you.

Dear Jake, Nick, and Matt - and Laura, Angie, and Renee - I just heard about Ron.  I know Jerry doesn't know or he would have told me.  I'll call him tomorrow!  I am so sorry.  We all thought so much of your mom and dad - always!  

I hadn't seen Ron often after your mother died but would run into him occasionally.  The last time I saw him and Mary was at the last election when we were voting.  He looked really good and said Mary was making him eat right and take care of himself.  

I think of you all often, though, and would love to see you.  I hope you and your families are doing well.  If you get into town, please call or come by. There are so many good memories associated with your family!  Your parents were good, loving people and certainly made an impact on a lot of young people over the years.

I'll add Ron to my list of angels - Sally has been there since she left us.

To all of Walts Family,being the first non-original of the "noise boys" was made memorable and rewarding by Walt as was having the opportunity to play golf with a true sportsman and gentleman. I will always remember him for the positive thoughts and inspiration he gave to me when it was most needed.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Walt was a seasoned nuclear service guy when I first joined B&W.  He had a lot of knowledge and practical experience, as well as the even temperament to get things done effectively.  One of the original "noise boys".  Lots of good memories.  Charlie England

To Jacob, Nick, Matt & Family,

I am sorry to hear the loss of your father. I know you are hurting now, but knowing he is with the Lord should provide peace.  Our families grew up together, and shared many memories. I will be praying for all of you.

I've only known Walter the last  2 years through golf. I always enjoyed playing with Walter and found him to be the nicest most gentle person. He was usually the first to arrive and was on the practice range when I arrived for the Tuesday/Thursday senior matches. I'll miss seeing him and when we played together I usually had the pleasure of driving the cart.

Memories from the past. My condolences to all of Walter's extended family.  I didn,t know Walter very well, during the years of '65 & '66, we were students at the Tri service Nuclear Power school in Ft Belvoir, VA. I never met any of his family while in school, but thought he was a dicated Navy man and enthused about the new path he was starting on at that time. After graduation, we went different  directions, me to the Air Force reactor in Sundance, WY and he to the Navy, I presume PM-3A. Again, I'm sure many of our classmates and shipmates will miss this gentleman. Cliff Coon USAF class 66-1AF

My condolences on the passing of your father. I know that my own father (his 1st cousin)has a special place in his heart for your father and the many good memories of their childhood back in rural Englevale. Sending thoughts and prayers.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families during this unfortunate time in your lives.  But you can rest assured that your Dad is in a much better place.

As a side line--Perhaps your Dad's love for golf started in his earlier years while he and I worked together at the US Naval Construction Battalion Center at Port Hueneme, Calif. in the Spring of 1957 while constructing (if my memory serves me correctly) the 7th green at the new golf course.  That golf course still exists today.  Your Dad & I do really go back that far!!

Walter was a wonderful, gentle, caring man.  My friendship with him and Sally and the love they shared with the exchange students will always be remembered.  My condolences to you, Mary.

I only had the opportunity of knowing Walter the past year when I met him at London Downs Golf Course.   What a special soul and gentle man he was.   I always knew that when I went to the course, whether to play or practice, I could count on seeing Walter there.   I am a retired Navy veteran myself and I always felt that special bond with Walter that only those of us who served so proudly share.   I will miss him deeply and can easily say with the deepest of pride and respect that he was a real true friend.   God bless you all.
