Wayne was a man of many passions and enjoyed a rich and fulfilling life. One of his favorite hobbies was participating in Blow Gun Competitions, where his precision and skill were admired by many. He had a keen ear for music and found solace in listening to various tunes. Wood burning crafts were another outlet for his creativity, where he crafted intricate pictures, logos, and landscapes.
A lover of nature, Wayne took great pride in lawn care and spent countless hours ensuring his surroundings were well-kept and beautiful. His love for football, particularly the 49ers, was evident whenever they played. Wayne had a culinary flair and cherished cooking on his Wok. His dedication extended to the careful seasoning of the Wok for each food preparation, a ritual he enjoyed.
Wayne had a warm and humorous personality, delighting in telling stories and sharing laughter with his loved ones. He had a special fondness for his children, especially his nieces and nephews, and his teasing nature was a source of joy for those close to him.
A proud Marine and Vietnam Veteran, Wayne served his country with honor. His dedication to duty and sacrifice for the nation will always be remembered.
Known by the affectionate nickname "Tater Man" among friends and family, Wayne had a favorite spot to eat – Waffle House, where he shared many memorable moments with those who knew him.
Wayne is survived by his two sons, Daniel Elleck Wilson (Jess) and David Matthew Wilson (Jennifer), his grandchildren, Branna and David Jr., as well as his sister, Mirenda W. Daniels. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Grace Ann Bruce, and two brothers Frank J Wilson Jr. and Jessie David Wilson.
