Born on March 4, 1957 in Richmond, he was the son of Anne Huston and the late William E. Bippus, Sr.
William graduated from E.C. Glass High School and then joined the Army where he served in Korea. Since returning to Lynchburg, he has worked in various security positions.
In addition to his mother, Anne, he is survived by his sons, Nathan and Justin Bippus of Richmond; stepfather, James A. Huston; his sister, Elizabeth Exum; step brother, James W. Huston; step sister, Nita Woodruff; and his companion, Sherrie Mercurio and her daughter, Amy and grandson, Reece.
A celebration of life service will be held at 6 pm on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service till 7:30 pm.
