Born June 1, 1944, in Campbell Co., he was a son of the late Charlie G. Doss and Alease Johnson Doss. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Claire D. Shaw. He was a carpenter by trade.
Survivors include two brothers, Charles S. Doss and wife Shirley, of Rustburg, and James D. Doss and wife Brenda, of Appomattox; his sister, Nancy D. Hardy and husband Dallas, of Goldston, NC; devoted nieces, Shelby Smith, of Rustburg, and Wanda Simmers, of Concord.
A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at the home of Shelby Smith, 418 Lone Jack Rd., in Rustburg.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Tree of Life Ministries.
