Zine-Mildor Lully was born on March 19, 1945 in Saint Louis, de Nord, Haiti, to Dieudone and Lucile Blanc Mildor. She was an incredible homemaker and for a season of time, a small business entrepreneur, known for her seamstress expertise. Although she was more of an introvert, her compassion and servant’s-heart propelled her to help both those who would cross her path and the ones who lived within her neighborhood community. As a seamstress she not only rendered services for her clients but also made many of her kid’s school uniforms and clothes.
Zine thoroughly enjoyed and loved reading her Bible. It truly was her daily bread. It was such a resounding, consistent example for her children. Zine’s faithful Bible reading was equally matched by her fervent prayer life. It would take illness or some force of nature to inhibit her participation in her church’s weekly prayer meetings. Zine-Mildor Lully was a steadfast prayer warrior and a devout disciple of Jesus Christ.
Zine is survived by her children: Franntia Mildor of NY, Frank Etienne (Aceline) of Haiti, Esther Alcindor, Myrlene Kia Sørensen (Kenn) of Denmark, Kerline Buchanan (Steve) of WI, Zerbraw Lully (fiance’ Dustin Lawhorne) and Michelo Lully (Jennifer); six sisters: Sabine Major, Florence Mildor, Melicette Gedeon, Cecile Rivers, Nativita Mildor, and Flor-ene Mildor; 21 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 9 nieces, 8 nephews, and many friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson Jesse James Buchanan, on August 21, 2020.
A service celebrating her life and faith will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2021 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Ed Vogt officiating. The service will be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/whittenfuneralhome.
