

Born on May 24, 1920, in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Alice (Peters) Keller.
Violet married her first husband, the late Raymond Griffin in 1939 and later remarried in 1975 to Elwyn Jackson. At one- time, Violet worked as an Advanced Aid, retiring from the Lockport Hospital.
She was a member and past President of the Fraternity of the Eagles in N. Tonawanda. She loved playing cards and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Colleen (Richard) Smith of Waterport; Clarence “Shorty” (Ann) Griffin of Georgia; Linda Kinney of Ransomville; 13 grandchildren, 44 great-great grandchildren, 18 great-great grandchildren, a sister, Almina Hunt of Michigan and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her two husbands, she is predeceased by a grandson, Charles Kinney.
Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, April 26, 2014, from 10 AM-11 AM at the Yates Baptist Church, 11365 E. Yates Center Rd. Lyndonville, NY 14098, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM with the Pastor, Rev. Lyell Drake officiating. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery, Lockport.
