Billy was born October 23, 1939 in Ft. Worth, TX to parents Buddy Grover and Vera (Bell) Ivey Sr. and entered into eternal rest on February 7, 2016 at the age or 76. Billy and Carolyn would have had their sixtieth wedding anniversary this September. Billy was a member of the Masonry and Baptist by faith. He owned and operated Athens Muffler Shop with his sons; Curtis and Chris and his brother; Grover for over 28 years. He loved riding motorcycles and enjoyed being out on the boat. He will be missed tremendously by all who knew him.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents and sisters: Kay Gregson and Ann McCarter.
He is survived by his loving wife Carolyn, daughter Kathy Gregory and husband Michael, sons: Curtis Ivey and Chris Ivey, daughter Kari Wilmeth and husband Walter, Six grandchildren: William Welch, Micah Gregory, Kassi Bentley and husband Drake, Carli Ivey, Maci Wilmeth, Charli Wilmeth, Four great-grandchildren: Shelby Welch, Blake Welch, Ivey Palmer, Izzy McClean, brothers: Buddy Grover Ivey Jr. and Rex Ivey, a host of extended family and friends.
