Born on June 6, 1937, in Mabank, Texas, Bobby was the son of the late Arthur L. Ward and the late Velma L. Ward.
Bobby was a hardworking man, an avid hunter, and an amazing husband, father, and Papaw. He was a skillful mechanic who worked for Greyhound for 26 years. Bobby was a prominent piece of the Ward family and could light up any room with his contagious belly laugh and sly sense of humor.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents; his son Bobby D. Ward; and his brothers Donald and Robert Ward.
He is survived by his wife Alma; children Julie and Eric Bliss, Lesa Ward, Debbie and Dewayne Rosemand; daughter-in-law Tina Ward; stepchildren Rodney and Doris McClung, Michael and Mindy McClung, Anita and Innocent Obasi; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild; brother Jackie Ward; sisters Patsy Hulse, Sherry Harvell, Wanda McLemee, and Barbara and J.D. Tebo.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank, Texas, from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank, Texas, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Elm Grove Cemetery in Mabank, Texas.
