Praying for the Cox, Newton and Whiteside families during this time of loss. I know how much you loved Cheri. Her fight was a long, brave one and I pray that you have peace knowing now her pain has passed. May her memory live on in your hearts in the days and years to come.  

I remember meeting you through my friend Vicki.  The thing I remember most is your kids was your number.  They where you world.  We did not stay in touch after our kids got older.  You are a great person,

Cheri could really throw a party. When my wife ,Christy Cox-Sabo, and I would travel to see their crew when they lived in East Fort Worth- I was introduced to a Newton parteee. I would tell Christy that these birthday parties and Halloween parties were more akin to  sanctioned Martha Stewart extravaganzas. They were overflowing with booze, sweet surprises, ornate decorations, great grub and , of course, plenty of hugs ,smiles and laughter. I would always ask when the next get-together would be because Cheri made everyone welcome - young or old. Always great memories. The best of times.
But don't despair -- I'm sure her kids will carry on the tradition of these fine family events and make them as joyful and fun as ever --  because that would be the way that Cheri would want it. She will be missed.

Cheri, my sweet beautiful, inside and out, friend. You will be missed dearly. What sweet memories you leave behind. I am reminded of the card games we would play on lunch break and weekends. I remember the trip to home league camp.  You called Tad to come and get you because you said you didn’t belong there. Lol.   You, Annette, and me, the three musketeers. Good times that I will always remember. 

2 Timothy 4: 7-8. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day- not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. 

Farewell, my friend, until me meet again in heaven.  PS get the cards warmed up. I’m looking forward to seeing you there.
