

Christine was born on March 22, 1932 in Dallas, TX to parents John Henry Neighbors and Rose Inez Boyd Neighbors and entered into eternal rest on May 2, 2015 at the age of 83. Christine was known as “Grandma” to her grandchildren. She held on strong to her faith and family. Christine loved crafts, cooking for the holidays and decorating for Christmas; this was very important to Christine. She was an avid reader and enjoyed going fishing. Christine loved to travel and go camping. She was not afraid to tell what was on her mind and put you in your place; you always knew where you stood with her. Christine loved Cedar Creek Lake and loved being around the water. She worked 20 years as an entrepreneur and attended First Baptist Church in Mabank; and she loved going to Sunday school there. Christine was a loving caring lady who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents, husband James Lewis, son Billy Don Lewis, brothers; Pat, Louis, Butch and Jerry, sisters; Dorothy, Linda and Alice.
She is survived by her son John Lewis and wife Joy of Grand Prairie, son James Lewis and wife Gail of Terrell, son Jack Lewis and wife Janet of Terrell, daughter Melinda Jean Blackburn and husband Mark of Mabank, sisters; Carrie Morton and husband Jerry of Eustace and Jody Groom of Mabank, 10 grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, her roommate Anna Long and her Kemp Care Center family, other loving family members and many more friends.
