He went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 6, 2021. He graduated from Eustace High School in 2008 and while in high school he played bass, tuba and trumpet in the band. Corey also enjoyed working on electronics, helping his mom on the farm, going four wheeling and jet skiing. Corey was a member of First Assembly of God where he enjoyed worshipping and fellowship with his church family. He had worked at Maximus in Athens, TX and later worked for HHSC in Athens, TX. He loved having a good time and spending it with those he loved most. Corey will surely be missed and cherished by all those who knew him.

Corey Owens was preceded in death by his grandmother, Irene Martin; aunt, Mary Stanley. He is survived by his mother, Kristina Stanley of Mabank, TX; father, Robert Owens of Dallas, TX; sister, Ashley Kelsay and fiancé Brent Minter, of Midlothian, TX; sister Lacey and Wayne Maxfield, of Winona, TX; maternal grandfather, Ron Stanley of Dallas, TX; grandmother, Melba Ritter, of Mabank, TX; and numerous aunts, uncles, friends and many other loved ones.
