A graveside service for Edith Cook, 91, of Mabank, will be held 10 am Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Baird Cemetery.

Mrs. Cook passed away November 20, 2023 in Kaufman. She was born November 19, 1932 in Wylie to David Richard Ratliff and Carrie Loney Quick Ratliff.

Edith worked as a CNA for Mabank Nursing Home for many years. She was homemaker who enjoyed painting, drawing and taking care of her cats.

Mrs. Cook is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Cook; two sons: Lester and Kenneth Cook; and daughter, Edith Lee Cook.

Edith is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Trisha Cook; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
