

Elwood Arthur “Woody” Nieman was born on November 22, 1930 in Blissfield, MI to parents Herman and Alvina (Fink) Nieman and entered into eternal rest on November 4, 2017 at the age of 86. Woody graduated from Burnham High School in 1948 and then joined the United States Army. He married his sweetheart, Martha Tuckerman, on August 4, 1951 at Olivit Lutheran Church in Sylvania, OH. Woody then went to work for Briggs-Weaver for 30 plus years. He was a very loving and caring man, especially to his wife. Woody raised three wonderful sons and was a great role model for his grandchildren. He was a past Master of Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star. Woody was a member of Four Mile Lutheran Church for 20 years. He was an amazing husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Woody was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Herman Jr., Donald, Lester and sister Suzie.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Martha Nieman of Malakoff, brother Harold Nieman and wife Janet of Toledo, OH, brother Kenneth of Grand Rapids, MI, son Craig Nieman of Grand Prairie, son Tim Nieman and wife Joy of Frisco, son Jon Nieman and wife Nicole of Richardson, granddaughter Jennifer Forsyth and husband Robert of Krum, grandsons; Tanner Nieman, Tristan Nieman and Tate Nieman, great-grandchildren; Jaxson Forsyth and Kassidy Forsyth of Krum, other loving family members and many more friends.
