

Frances “Sugar” Ann Reeves was born April 21, 1920 and passed from this life to eternal life on March 7, 2016 at Cedar Lake Nursing Home in Malakoff after a short illness. She was Baptist by faith and was active in her church until she moved to the nursing home in 2009. Frances retired from Oak Cliff Bank in Dallas and again from First State Bank in Athens-Mabank branch.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Lawrence Khedron Reeves, and companion of 25 years, James Edward Byars.
After she moved to Cedar Creek Lake in 1978, she was active in the Cedar Creek Lake Women’s Club, The Literary Club and Sarah Maples Chapter of NSDAR. Frances volunteered at the family resource center in Gun Barrel City for many years and served on the board of directors at Lifescape Condos. She loved to travel and her hobbies included spending time with her family, painting and crafts.
Frances is survived by her daughters, Lin Reeves-Spencer, of Graham; Carroll Reeves-Morriss and husband, Jerry of Mabank; her grandson, Tony Keith Tennant and wife, Lisa of Euless, Spencer Todd Tennant and wife, Julie of Graham; and five great-grans, Summer, Spencer, Sky, Levi and Emily; and many friends.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and friends; she will be missed by all her knew her.
