Funeral services for Gloria "Goki" Lee Tarpley, age 89, of Mabank, Texas, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank. Interment will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in Mabank.
Gloria passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025, in Tyler, Texas. She was born on September 13, 1935, in Eustace, Texas, to the late Dewey Lee and Vera Ethyl Heffington. Gloria lived in Mabank her entire life and was a member of the Mabank Church of Christ. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, spending time with family, running the roads with her partner in crime, Loree, and caring for her dog, Blackie Girl.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Tarpley; her son, A.B. Henson; her grandson, Christopher Calhoun; and her sister, Lucille Flowers.
Gloria is survived by her daughters, Nancy Roberts and Nena Smith, both of Mabank; her sister, Loree Mixon, also of Mabank; and her grandchildren: Jamie McKinney and her husband, Jeffrey Dyer, of Lindale, Texas; Lacy Rodriguez and her husband, Dominic, of Tyler, Texas; Traci Roberts and her husband, Clint Rodrigues, of Mabank; Zach Smith and his wife, Heidi, of Greenville, Pennsylvania; Rachel Travis and her husband, Matt, of Wills Point, Texas; Adam Henson and his wife, Rhani, of Ferris, Texas; Tony Henson and his wife, Lauren, of Blue Mound, Texas; and Andrew Henson of Justin, Texas; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Clint Rodrigues, Matt Travis, Zach Smith, Tony Henson, Mike McGee, Adam Henson, Chloe McKinney, and Andrew Henson.
