Bud, at the age of 86, passed away at his home in Mabank, Texas on November 14, 2017. Bud was born June 13, 1931 in Cobbs Switch (Kaufman County), Texas to Atha (Dossett) and Wm. Oscar Taylor. Bud grew up in Quinlan, Texas. He married Wanda Degges in 1952. Bud served in the U.S. Army from 1952-1954. He retired from Southwestern Bell in 1990. Bud enjoyed being outdoors; hunting and fishing. He really enjoyed hunting squirrel, dove and quail. Bud attended Aley United Methodist Church. He was a man that many people loved and he will truly be missed by all.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Hazel.
He is survived by his wife Wanda Taylor of 65 years, his two daughters; Marla Cotter and Lori (Jack) Caddell both of Whitehouse, Texas, four grandchildren; Matthew (Claire) Cotter, Megan (Jon) Cotter-Knocke, Savanna Caddell and Haley Caddell, sister Kay Stafford and several nieces and nephews.
