

Jimmy was born on March 7, 1950 in Dallas, Texas to parents Johnnie B. and Winnie (Pearl) Gaddis and entered into eternal rest on August 9, 2017 at the age of 67. Jimmy was known as “Jimbo” to his family and friends. Jimmy graduated from H. Grady Spruce High School and North Wood University. He married the love of his life, Rebecca, on August 8, 1969 at Oakcrest Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. Jimmy was an amazing husband, father and grandfather. He was an amazing story teller and a very generous man, who would help anyone he could. Jimmy was involved in his community; from serving on the Mabank School board for 7 years to coaching little league. One of his favorite things to do was go watch his grandchildren play sports and cheer. He was self-employed and worked as a contractor at the World Trade Center in Dallas for 40 years. Jimmy was an amazing giving man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and sister Wanda Gaddis.
He is survived by his loving wife Rebecca Gaddis of Star Harbor, son Richard Gaddis and wife Tammy of Payne Springs, son Jeff Gaddis and wife Monica of Malakoff, grandchildren; Clay Gaddis, Anna Gaddis, Cole Gaddis, Camryn Gaddis and Cooper Gaddis, sister Joyce Colegrove of Mineola, sister Virginia Kidwell of Mabank, sister Jeannette McPherson and husband Tom of Crandall, sister Brenda Hardin and husband Tony of Mabank, sister Betty Nickelson and husband Robert of Mabank, brother Lanny
Gaddis and wife Cindy of Mabank, aunt Louise Stephenson of Mabank, numerous nieces and nephews, other loving family members and many more friends.
