Kenneth was born on March 26, 1936 in Vernon, Texas to parents Ernest and Oma (Black) Curley and entered into eternal rest on June 24, 2019 at the age of 83. Everyone knew him as “Uncle Bud”, who was a generous and kind man. He married the love of his life, Sandra, on February 12, 1957 in Odessa, Texas. Together they started their life, having four wonderful boys. Kenneth started his own business as a painter. He was the owner/operator of Curley Paint and retiring after 30 years. Kenneth was a great story teller and enjoyed taking donuts and cookies to the Police Department. He was a Master Mason and a member of Phalba Church of Christ. Kenneth was active in his church and was always willing to do whatever was needed. He loved God and his church family. Kenneth enjoyed being outdoors and fishing, especially for catfish. He made cards for everyone’s birthday and when people were sick. Kenneth was an amazing man who will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sandra Curley, daughter-in-law Tina Curley, granddaughter Caitlyn Curley, brothers and sisters; EJ Jr., Betty, Earnestine, Morene and Lois.
He is survived by his four sons; Chase Curley and wife Jo of Frisco, TX, Bud Curley and wife Angie of Amarillo, TX, Keith Curley of Amarillo and Chad Curley of Colorado Springs, CO, grandchildren; Chelsea Kelley and husband James of Roswell, NM, Nick Curley of Dallas, TX, Katie Curley of Amarillo, TX, Sayla Barnes of Austin, TX, Rebecca Alcala and husband Matt of Amarillo, TX, Hayden Curley of Colorado Springs, CO, Brianna Curley of Colorado Springs, CO and Ryland Curley of Colorado Springs, CO, niece, who was like the daughter he never had, Netta Hurt and husband Mitchell of Golden, TX, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
