He was born on October 13, 1955 in Dallas to parents, Vera Paralee Waymire, and Vester “Beck” Waymire. He is proceeded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Angela Thompson, and husband Greg, his son, Joshua Waymire, and wife, Meredith, his grand daughter, Amber Thompson, his granddaughter Ashlyn Thompson, his grandson David Waymire, his brother, Steve Waymire and wife Jeanna, and brother Jeff Waymire, and wife Margarete.
Kevin began his federal career in the United States Air Force with 4 years of honorable service. On December 2, 1978, he joined the United States Postal Service as a Mail Handler at the Dallas Bulk Mail Center. On January 12, 1980, he transferred crafts and became a letter carrier in Mesquite, Texas.
On April 25, 1998, he joined the Postal Inspection Service with his promotion to Postal Police Officer in the Fort Worth Division. He remained in this position for 13 years providing law enforcement support and security to Dallas and Fort Worth Area Postal Facilities. During his career, he was instrumental in facilitating crime prevention within the Dallas District by conducting numerous security surveys which resulted in the identification of many systemic problems. He retired from the United States Postal Inspection Service on July 1, 2011 with 36 years of federal service to the government of The United States.
Kevin loved nothing more in life than spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed photography, travel, reading, and had an interest in woodworking.
