Laverne was born on August 14, 1944 to parents Charlie Calvin and Lillian Virginia (Waddell) Queen and entered into eternal rest on December 15, 2018 at the age of 74. Laverne worked as a jailer and dispatcher for North Richland Hills Police Dept. In her younger days she made her own clothes and loved doing floral design. Laverne could do just about anything she set her mind to. She collected Carnival Glass and perfume bottles. Laverne loved Christmas, it was her favorite time of the year. She loved being Charlie’s mother. Laverne was an amazing mother, aunt and great-aunt. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Laverne was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Mancini, sister Barbara Jane Harris and brother-in-law Henry Orval Harris.
She is survived by her son Charlie Mancini of Squires, MO, nephews; Patrick Harris and wife Dana of Decatur, Clarence Edward Harris and wife Mary of Weatherford and Ricky Harris and wife Frances of Ft. Worth, nieces; Glenda Evans and husband Dale of Squires, MO and Brandie Camper and husband Perry of Mabank, numerous great-nieces and nephews, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
