Leon McManus was born on September 12, 1945 in Grapeland, Texas to parents James Oscar McManus and Margie Edna Ruth and entered into eternal rest on September 22, 2015 at the age of 70. Leon loved golfing, baseball and was a Texas Ranger fan. He like playing the guitar and loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Leon graduated from Brown Trail School of Preaching and was minister at Oakridge Church of Christ. He did missionary work in Africa. Leon was a member of Mabank Church of Christ. He was a loving caring man who will be tremendously missed by all who knew and loved him.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Florence Price, Mary Price and Liller Jo Durham, brothers; Jimmy Lonzo McManus and Kenneth McManus.
He is survived by his loving wife Joyce McManus of Seven Points, son Lonny McManus of Red Oak, daughter Janine Korn and husband James of Mesquite, daughter Lynn Calhoun and husband Sean of Canton and son Dale McManus and wife Janith of Ennis, 10 grandchildren; Crystal, Amber, Justin, Alisha, Darla, Matthew, Joseph, Jonathan, Taylor and Tyler, 4 great-grandchildren, sister Hazel Price of Quinlan, numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many more friends.
