Mr. Prentiss Michael Russell

Prentiss Michael Russell was born on November 29, 1956 in Dallas, Texas to parents Prentiss Adair Russell and Doshie Myrick and entered into eternal rest on June 19, 2017 at the age of 60. Prentiss was known as “Mike” to his family and friends. Mike loved spending time with his family and playing his guitar for the Lord. He enjoyed being outside; fishing, doing yard work and riding his motorcycle. Mike worked in transportation for over 30 years and worked for Mabank ISD as a bus driver. Mike and Debbie were foster parents for 4 ½ years, and had 48 children during that time. He was a member of Restoration Church in Gun Barrel City. Mike was a loving and caring man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents and brother Troy Russell.

He is survived by his loving wife Debbie Russell of Gun Barrel City, daughter Cindy Russell of Amarillo, son Michael Russell and wife Misty of Quinlan, daughter Loreal Roe of Gun Barrel City, bonus son Billy Poe and wife Kassie of Heartland, bonus daughter Brittany York and husband Andy of Eustace, grandchildren; Codi, Brianna, Christopher, Andrew, Daveigh, bonus grandchildren; Hayden, Trenton, Dalton, Breanna and Warren, great-grandson A.J., brother Roy Russell and wife Shirley of Fate, other loving family members and many more precious friends.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Caring Hearts Hospice, for all the love and care they gave Mike and his family during his illness.
