Sandra “Sandy” Gail Murray Fielder was born on April 3, 1944 in Spur TX to parents John Wallace Murray and Eileen Juanita Morgan. She entered eternal rest on May 27, 2025 in Richardson, Texas at the age of 81, the same age her beloved husband entered heaven. They were two peas in a pod. She was a force and loved her family with all her heart. She loved camping, boating, playing dominos, cards and dancing with her husband. Christmas was her favorite holiday. She enjoyed writing and wrote articles titled “Sandy’s Sayings” in the Red Oak Register newspaper. She also authored children’s stories.
Divine providence happened on January 23, 1965 when Don crashed his car into Sandra’s vehicle. No one was injured but his driver’s license was suspended, and he paid a $530 fine. They were married approximately three months later which lasted 55 years, talk about crashing into the love of your life! She retired from the City of Dallas from a job she loved and spent the rest of her days living at the lake and making many friends.
Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, her Bear Don and her brother Virgil Murray.
She is survived by her daughter Patricia “Pat” Gainey, daughter Julie Mills and husband Randy of Edgewood, TX, grandchildren Richard “Cody” Mills of Edgewood, TX and Jennifer Gainey of Paris TX, grandson Alex Mills and her best friend of 30 plus years Regina Marable of Canton TX.
