Was born January 24,1929 in Peeltown Texas, where he resided with his parents and sister until he reached the age of 12. His parents moved the family to Dallas.
He graduated from Forest Avenue high school in 1948. He joined the National Guard, and married the love of his life and wife of 60 years, Clara Bow Pyle on Sept. 8, 1950. He served 8 years in the National Guard, and he and Bow had three children while residing in Pleasant Grove, Texas. They moved to Forney, Texas in 1974.
He worked at Safeway for 12 years and attended night school to learn to become a machinist, something he always wanted to do. He worked at Smallwood and Sons upon getting his certificate. Later, He landed a job as an electronics technician at Texas Instruments in 1976, and continued working there for twenty years until his retirement in 1996. He was also a master mason at Brooklyn No. 386 of Forney, Texas.
Stanley and Bow moved to Cedar Creek Lake in 1990. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Tool, Texas.
To those who knew him, knew him as “Pop”. He was famous for his chocolate and coconut pies he made from scratch. He would hand deliver them to anyone who mentioned they wanted one. He was loved by all who knew him. He had a lead foot and drove all over visiting any family member or friend who was on his mind that day often with sweets in his hand he had made just for them.
In 2016, Stanley became a resident of Cedar Lake Nursing home where he was beloved by the staff and was deemed the “Door Man.” He entered into eternal rest on June 21, 2020.
He is preceded in death by his Parents Benjamin Coy and Lottie Mae Pyle, his sister Coylyn “Sis” Chennault, and his wife of 60 years, Clara Bow Pyle.
He is survived by his three children, son, Mike Pyle and wife, Molly, of Trinidad, Texas, son, Mickey Pyle and wife Sue, of Forney, Texas, and daughter Nancy Smith and husband Mike, of Athens, Texas, seven grandchildren: Jennifer Williams, Laurie Boerner, Ryan Pirtle, Robbi Petroff, Phillip Pyle, Nicole Prewitt, Natasha Nichols, eleven great grandchildren, and one great grandchild
