After attending Kimball High School, Vicki worked for her mother's answering service company until it was eventually sold.
She worked with her husband, Tommy Velez, at UPS in Garland for many years. She also drove a bus for the Garland Independent School District, she always had many funny stories to tell about the kids on her bus.

She would never miss a roadtrip to the casino. There she loved to play the slot machines with her family.
Vicki, Tommy and her family were very outgoing, many lasting memories were created with both sides of the families during picnics, parties and cookouts.
