

Wesley Gene Bonner, 57, passed away on December 27, 2014 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas due to chronic liver disease. He was born on December 2, 1957 in Athens, Texas to George Melvin and Jean Ann Greene Bonner.
Wesley grew up in both in Dallas and Eustace Texas. He went to B. H. Macon Elementary, Fred F. Florence Junior High, H. Grady Spruce High in Dallas, and Graduated at Eustace High School in 1975. Wesley went on to study at college for two more years at Henderson County Junior College. While in High School and College, he worked for his Grandfather Bill Bonner on his farm. After college Wesley:
• Worked briefly with his longtime friend Richard Harvey at Capital Wire in Garland.
• Went to work a short while with several friends at local business including, Bobby Harvey, Ken Bohannon and A.L. Ashton.
• Worked six months for Brown and Root Construction on a power plant at LaGrange, Texas.
• In 1980, Wesley began his thirty-year career at International Harvester, latter known as Navistar International. He worked there alongside his father George Melvin Bonner and his Uncle Jimmy Weston Greene. Wesley retired from Navistar in 2010, at age 53.
• Began a business briefly with his brother-in-law, Bill Watson in their Concrete Finishing Business in 1985.
Wesley married in 1986 to Dena Watson Boner in Athens, Texas. They were happily married for 28 years. Wesley was a member of the United Auto Workers Union serving as a Committee Man for the employees at his warehouse. He also served once on a District Grand Jury for six months. Wesley enjoyed a great many outdoor activities including horseback trail riding and gardening. His favorite music was the Beatles. Wesley was also, a people person, never meeting a stranger. However, he enjoyed being with his family and close friends the most.
Wesley is preceded in death by his father George Melvin Bonner.
Wesley is survived by his spouse Dena; his daughter Priscilla, (Michael) Wheat; his sons Dereck, (Cayla) Bonner, Julian, (Meagan) Bonner, and Jude Bonner; his mother Jean Ann Bonner; his brother Randy, (Jean) Bonner; his grandchildren Veronica Wheat, Emma Bonner, Presley Bonner, Cohen Bonner, Wyatt Bonner, and Weston Bonner: his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
A visitation will be held at Eubank Funeral Home, Mabank, Texas. At 6pm to 8pm on 12-30-2014. A memorial service will be held at Eubank Funeral Home, Mabank, Texas. At 11am on 12-31-2014. Burial will follow at Payne Cemetery, Eustace, Texas.
