

Athena Kay Dusavage, 50 of Loves park, passed away at home Wednesday, January 11, 2012; born to Jack and Doris(Brown) Demetriou in Oaklawn, Illinois; worked in the restaurant industry for many years, advancing to management; Athena had many hobbies, Facebook Frontiersville was her favorite. She would spend hours on Facebook, cooking for all, playing darts when possible, as well as dancing to music on the spur of the moment. However, Athena's passion was her children and grand child Lillyannah, or " Sugarplum" as she was referred. Athena liked eating the same foods for weeks & even months as she cooked what she liked, and ate what she liked habitually while watching the American Idol; Survived by sisters Lena Badell, Christina Tyler with Steven Davila of Loves Park, Illinois; brother Jim Demetriou of Loves Park, Illinois: Survived by daughter Karissa DuSavage and Bobby Louis of Rockford, Illinois; Sons Seth & Shannon DuSavage of Rockford, Illinois; Grand daughter Lillyannah Louis; Grandson Caleb Dusavage both of Rockford, Illinois: very special friends Paula Hunt, Carol Bunting, and Wayne King; Predeceased by mother Doris Knight; Bill Knight(Pop);son Eric Dusavage;grandson Elijah Louis; Private Family Viewing Sunday, 2pm;Services provided by Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N.
