Benjamin E. Christal, 89, of Loves Park, IL passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family on April 23, 2022. He was born on April 23, 1933 in Hannibal, MO to Elmer and Margaret (Ellsworth) Christal. Ben married Linnie Miles on December 14, 1951 and together they had 5 children. He proudly served his country in the Marine Corp for 8 years. Ben worked for Warner Lambert as a Supervisor for many years. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Ben is survived by his wife of 70 years, Linnie; his children, Diana Davis, Marcus (Coeleen) Christal, Sherry (Royce) Engler and Regina (Ricky) Barton; his 13 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, George Christal; his granddaughter, Tammy Morgan and his son-in-law, Wayne Davis.

Funeral Service for Ben will take place at 10:00AM on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd., Machesney Park, IL 61115. Visitation will start at 9:00AM until the time of service. Ben will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
