Betty Jane Grams

Betty Jane Grams, 94, passed away on August 19, 2017. Betty was born on April 24, 1923 to Evelyn and Fred Steeves in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin where she spent most of her early life and where she met and married Arthur (A.G.) Grams in 1941. She lived in Texas, Missouri, Colorado and again in Wisconsin before moving to the Rockford area with "A.G." and her daughter, Jackie. She used her gifts of interior design and decorating to make many homes built by A. G. Grams Construction Company even more beautiful. She was an active member of the First Assembly of God Church (City First) and the First Evangelical Free Church and also Fairhaven Volunteer Board, Rockford Women's Club and Christian Woman's Club. Betty was predeceased by her parents, grandson Todd, her husband A.G. of 72 years and grand-son-in-law Jamie Dorn. Survivors include daughter Jacqueline (Jim) Martindale, grandchildren Scott (Carmen) Martindale and Michelle Dorn, 8 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Thanks to special friends, and the Northern Illinois Hospice "Angels" for all their help and prayers. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Northern Illinois Hospice or First Evangelical Free Church.
